Peter is a licensed celebrant, and offers his services for both in-house weddings at Willowbrook, as well as independent celebrancy for couples who have their own venue in mind. In his own words:

• I believe it is important for a couple to feel comfortable with their celebrant; I like to meet over a cup of coffee, so you can get to know me, and talk about how you want to express your love and commitment for each other during your marriage ceremony.

• I bring to your ceremony 25 years of experience as a celebrant in the UK, having been an Anglican priest and celebrant in London.

​

• I also believe that confidentiality is important. Every couple deserves to be able to plan their big day knowing that their need for privacy will be respected. Couples can be assured that their conversations, ideas and plans will always be kept in the strictest of confidence.

​

• You may wish to have an intimate ceremony with a small group of close friends or you may wish to invite hundreds of guests; you may want your ceremony on the beach, in the garden, or in a country house. Whatever your dream is, I will help you to translate it into reality for your big day.

​

• Marriage may not ring the right note for you, but you still want to make a commitment to someone, and to have that recognised publicly and with a sense of occasion. We can work together to plan what is just right for you.

​

• After a number of years some couples wish to reaffirm the vows they made on their wedding day and to celebrate with family and friends. I will help you to plan a ceremony to renew your vows that will reflect the precious times in the past and rededicate yourselves for the future.

The birth of a child is a most wonderful event in life and the expression of thanksgiving for this new life naturally accompanies the desire to gather family and friends publicly to name the child. I can plan the perfect event with you.

The passing of a loved one is an harrowing time and great care and pastoral skill is called for in the planning of a funeral which will not only celebrate the person's life but also help those who are left behind, to grieve and face the future with hope.
